it can be any subject..as long as it is connected with American or English culture..or places...or..anything. and i want it to be interesting...and original..

The Rise and Fall of Cigarettes in American and British cultures. The history of how cigarettes were introduced into our culture and clever advertising campaigns to promote it.
I did a paper on this last year and it was very interesting. Before 1910 or so, nobody smoked cigarettes. Some used snuff and others smoked cigars or pipes. Then Hollywood glamorized it. People started smoking to show they were well-educated and classy. You can get some old cigarette ads from the Internet. Stuff like: "9 out 10 Doctors prefer Lucky Strikes!" Doctors used to suggest that pregnant women take up smoking cigarettes as a way to control weight gain during pregnancy.
I really enjoyed doing my paper on this topic. It was very interesting. I got an "A+".
