In a pinch, could a cigarette be used to treat diabetic shock?
my math says that if a diabetic shock is ultra low blood sugar, and cigarettes deliver blood sugar in mere seconds, that if one didn't have insulin a cigarette could save their life.
does this sound like it would work?

No. If you gave someone with severe low blood sugar a cigarette it wouldn't do anything to help them. If you gave them insulin it would make matters much worse.
SUGAR is the only thing that will help with this. Any kind of sugar, in soda, candy, juice, honey it doesn't matter, just SUGAR.
