How bad can smoking 5 cigarettes a day be?
I smoke about 5 cigarettes a day and the only reason i do it is because of bordem and i know its not a very good reason i have not been smoking for long but i like it because it just gives me something to do and i know its not a very good reason but i would just like to know how bad that can be for me and how long would i have to smoke to develop a serious illness?

Every cigarette kills you. It's a carcinogen- you can smoke all your life and not get cancer, or you can smoke for a week and get cancer. Most likely you'll kill your lungs at the very least. You could end up breathing through a tube, or having parts of your lungs and throat removed cause of cancer. It is terrible for you, and once you start it's hard to stop so STOP NOW. Better habit = chewing gum! Also it tastes better, so many flavors!
