If I wanted to dress up like Joe Strummer from The Clash for Halloween, what should I wear?
What sort of clothes and accessories would be best for imitating this god of rock & roll? Thanks!

Oh my god...coolest costume ever. Unfortunately, it will probably be one of those costumes that you have to explain to everyone who you are. I guess you could wear a Clash shirt, but would Joe wear a Clash shirt? Probably not.
Any punk-looking tshirt, black jeans, black motorcycle boots would be good. You MUST be smoking a cigarette, or if that's too gross, just keep an unlit one in your mouth. Joe often greased his hair a little, and he had those bad British teeth...maybe you could use some of those funny Halloween teeth. But not too gross...don't offend the memory of Uncle Joe! He also had kind of funky ears...don't know what you could do with that for a costume, though. Google images of him and you'll get more ideas. Carry an electric guitar if you have one. Be sure you know some lyrics so you can recite them (at work: quote "Clampdown", at a party, quote "Police on my Back", and if you could sing the entire "Magnificent Seven" that would be awesome.) Good luck! You're right...Joe was a god, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE your costume idea.
