Marlboro Short Cigarettes
What does a shorter filter do on cigarettes?
I'm doing a school project on cigarettes in Ethics Class, and I was wondering if anyone knew what the short filter found in Parliament cigarettes actually does. I'm arguing that since it is shorter, and therefore has less holes, the smoker breathes in added levels of tar and nicotine, than let's say, a Camels or Marlboro.
Could someone please tell me if my statement is correct or not.
(this is urgent, the project is due tomorrow)

Shorter filters, along with less dense filters, and filters without vent holes found on lights and ultralights, tend to filter out less carcinogens, providing for a stronger cigarette. But Parliaments are unique with their recessed filter; because of the empty space between the filter itself and the end of the cigarette, the filter never touches the lips.
